Canada and the entire world are currently fighting against the outbreak of the coronavirus (COVID-19).
Vogue Optical’s highest priority is the health and safety of our patients, customers, employees, and professionals, and we are committed to supporting worldwide efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.
To contribute to limiting the spread of COVID-19, the majority of our stores will be closing until further notice. We are committed to continuing to do our part in taking care of your vision. We will be having select stores open with limited hours in order to provide emergency eye wear services only. If the Vogue Optical in your location is not on the list below and you require emergency eye wear service, we have set up an emergency line and a central email address:
These will be monitored Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.
The most effective way to minimize risk of the virus’s transmission is to reduce density and maximize social distance. As rates of new infections continue to grow, we’re taking these steps to protect our team members and customers.
We want to thank our extraordinary retail teams for their dedication to our customers. We are all so grateful to you. Our head office administration staff will be working from home and we will be monitoring the situation and will provide periodic updates as they become available.
Looking ahead, we will be monitoring the situation as the rest of the country and the world is as well. Until the risk is behind us, we really do not have all the answers. We would like to however thank all the frontline workers that are in the health care industries and the sub-industries that are clearly working in risky situations every day to provide health care for Canadians. These people truly are heroes.
Safety measures in our stores
To make sure our open stores always remain safe environments for everyone, we have implemented the most stringent measures to limit the spread of COVID-19:
- All devices and equipment are disinfected after each use;
- The cleaning frequency of the stores has been increased significantly;
- The frames are disinfected before and after each use, and regularly throughout the day;
- We have tissues and antiseptic wipes available for your convenience;
- All our employees and optometrists are made aware of the risks and recommendations associated with COVID-19 and are adjusting their activities to limit their risks, both within the workplace and at home.
For our current contact lens wearers who would like to renew their supply, as long as your prescription is valid, simply call 1-866-594-3937 for renewal information and your order will be delivered directly to your home, free of charge.
For those who purchased ophthalmic glasses, we will deliver them directly to your home, also free of charge, saving you the need to come to collect them. If your new glasses require adjustments, we will be happy to serve you as soon as our services resume normally. If the adjustment is urgent, you may come to one of our essential services stores.
We assure you of our transparency and we commit to keeping you informed of any change in our activities. Any important changes will be posted on our website at covid19.vogueoptical.com and our social media channels. We also encourage you to regularly consult the announcements and recommendations issued by the Public Health Agency of Canada and to follow governments’ advice on how to stay safe.
Emergency Eye Wear Service is currently limited to these stores Monday to Friday, 12-5
For all other locations please call our emergency line or email us as per below. This line will be monitored Monday to Friday 8am-4pm.
